In front of nearly 200 guests, warmly welcomed by the president of MINATEC ENTREPRISES, Mrs. Annick MERLE, the whole team and the shareholders celebrated the laying of the first stone of the BHT2.
To mark the official launch of the new building, all of the stakeholders took to the podium to explain to the guests the involvement of their organizations and to reiterate their ambition for the SEM’s overall project: to welcome and facilitate the development of innovative companies in the region, particularly at MINATEC.
Following on from the first High Technology Building (the BHT) which opened in 2003, the BHT2 is designed to accommodate new projects by offering customised offices, laboratories and/or clean rooms.
The MINATEC ENTREPRISES team manages the entire building and oversees its operation, maintenance and marketing, relieving tenants of the complex and time-consuming task of running it. This hosting/services model has proven its worth since the creation of the SEM, with the emergence of some fine local “nuggets” (UROMEMS, PX THERAPEUTICS, MICROOLED, CYTOO, etc.), as recalled in her speech by Geneviève FIORASO, who supported the project at its birth.
